This is not a sport to the animals. The animals have no choice when they are shocked, spurred, chased, tackled/roped at full speed, or thrown down to the ground. The rodeo animals have no choice. How is this a sport if participants can not say no?
Rodeo animals endure physical high stress and injuries. Aside from the obvious potential of broken bones, what you don't see is the muscle injuries such as strains, pulls, or other non visible injuries that can be seen when a rodeo animal gets up slowly or limps away.
The rodeo animals are subjected to pschological stress in the form of fear as they are running away from the other horses, or humans.
